Two Games and Two Wins

06/09/2017 9:48 PM -

These past two home games have resulted in two more wins for the DuPage Hounds. Thursday’s game was another big offensive day for the Hounds, which seems to be a trend for this season, racking up 18 runs against the Crestwood Panthers. The start of the game didn’t look promising with the Panthers putting up 5 runs before the 4th inning, but the Hounds quickly turned things around scoring in every inning after that. Steward led the day with 4 hits and 5 RBI’s while Bottcher and Roberson had 3 RBI’s each making them both honorable mentions from the game. The Hounds had a total of 21 hits on Thursday which is more than double what the Panthers had.

This winning momentum rolled over into tonight’s game where even though it was a closer game, Hounds still had a strong 9-2 win over the Southland Vikings. Stewart, Bottcher, and Demumbrum had 3 hits each, Demumbrum led the Hounds with 4 RBI’s. Some rain cause a short delay during tonights game, but that didn’t change anything since all of the runs were scored before the top of the 7th, when the delay began.

These two games have put the Hounds at 9-2-1 with the best record out of the Midwest Collegiate teams as of this point.
