Hounds On-Top of MCL Dog Pile

There are three teams within two games of the lead of the Midwest Collegiate League, and the Hounds are the ones on top. With Tuesday’s win, they moved to 11-5 on the year and broke the three way tie for first in the division.

The Hounds play a double header on Sunday, July 7 versus the Lexington Snipes. They are trailing the Hounds by half a game.

After the double header it is All-Star week. The Hounds take on the Military All-Stars on the July 8 and then the MCL All-Star game is played on the July 9 at Oil City Stadium, home to the NWI Oilmen.

After the break, it is a sprint to the finish. There are only 15 scheduled games post break and eight of those are against contenders in the MCL. With the weather this summer, who knows how many of those game will actually be played?
