Hounds Sign Seven Total, Four Division I Players

 The DuPage County Hounds announced today the signing of seven players for their 2013 roster.  After these player signings, the Hounds 2013 season roster now sits at 17 players.

 
Joey White – A member of the 2012 DuPage County Hounds roster, White currently attends Western Illinois University where he is an outfielder.  White hit .357 during the 2012 season for the Hounds with 35 hits, 6 doubles, 13 RBIs, and 10 stolen bases.  During high school White played for Downers Grove South.
 
Zach Abbott – Abbott currently attends Skyline College, where fellow Hounds player Robin Lausen plays as well.  The 5’11” pitcher is a lefty and also hits left as well.  Abbott is from Oakdale, California.
 
Matt Richer – Richer plays for Carthage College where he plays multiple positions including catcher, first base, as well as the outfield.  Richer is no stranger to summer collegiate baseball.  He played in the MINK League as well as the Northwoods League.
 
Patrick Macaione – The Norridge, IL native currently plays collegiate ball at Ashford University, where a few other Hounds players have or currently play at.  The Left-handed pitcher was an All-Conference and All-Area Player while playing at Ridgewood High School.
 
Josh Keim – Also a member of the 2012 DuPage County Hounds roster, Keim currently plays at Illinois State University.  During Keim’s 2012 season with the DuPage County Hounds he hit .298, 22 runs, 45 hits, 15 RBIs, and 9 stolen bases.
 
Mitch Gasbarro – A member of the Eastern Illinois University baseball team, Gasbarro is a shortstop/second baseman.  The freshman in college played high school baseball at Glenbard South where was named to the All-Conference Team as a sophmore, the All-Conference Team as a senior, All-Area Team as a senior, Conference MVP as well as selected to the Illinois East/West All-Star Game.
 
Case Toth – Currently attends Michigan State University where he is an outfielder.  While a member of the Clarkston High School Baseball Team, Toth was named to the Michigan “Dream Team” and played in the Michgan All-Star Game at Comerica Park. Toth is no stranger to summer collegiate baseball.  He played in the Hawaii Collegiate League.
