Hounds Notch their Second Win of the Season.

After having Saturday night’s game rained out, the Hounds changed opponents to round out the opening weekend against the Lexington Snipes.

With another overcast day hanging over Lisle, the Hounds offense started slow, but ended with 12 hits in the game.

Brendan Delany battled through the cold late afternoon scattering six hits and recording nine strikeouts through 6 innings.

The Snipes started the scoring in the 2nd inning with an RBI double by the designated hitter Cale Robinson. They scored again in the 4th inning on a throwing error by Delany.

That was all for the Snipes as the Hounds came back to score four unanswered runs.

Drew LaComb had an RBI single in the fifth.

Matt Richer brought in Conor Philbin on an RBI single to even the score at two an inning later.

Delany gave way to Kyle Dermady in the 7th who ended up getting the win.

Paul DeJong doubled in the 8th to the right center wall to score Alex Hegge and give the Hounds a lead for the first time in the game. Brian Rodemoyer had a bloop RBI single later in the inning to give the Hounds an insurance run.

Jason Euler came in for the top of the 9th to nail down the save.

Final score: 4-2 Hounds.

The Hounds (2-0) take the road to play the Chicago Zephyrus (0-0) on Wednesday at 5 P.M.
