Big Weekend for HoundsBy:
The Hounds are coming into one of the most important weekends of the season. With 15 games remaining, the dogs take on the Lexington Snipes, Southland Vikings, and Chicago Zephyrs. The Hounds (11-6) trial the Snipes (13-7) by a half-game and are jockeying for position atop of the MCL. The NWI Oilmen (11-6) also stand only a half-game behind the Snipes. The Oilmen play the Vikings on Friday, then have a double header with the Rockford Foresters (2-10) on Saturday, and another double header on Sunday with the Snipes.
This has the potential to mix things up in the standings.
The Hounds look for the bats of All-Stars Matt Richer (.375 BA), Brian Rodemoyer (.359 BA) and Joey White (.286 BA) to lead the charge into this weekend’s games.
