LISLE, IL – The DuPage County Hounds (Midwest Collegiate League) announced today that the team will be the only in the Chicago market to charge no service fees for any online ticket order. In addition, the team will continue to offer free parking and no ticket surcharges for fans who purchase tickets on game days.
“In our pursuit of taking the DuPage County Hounds to the next level, dropping online ticket fees we felt as a staff was a pretty clear signal to our current and future fans that we were serious about providing an experience that focused on them and not the team’s checkbook,” said General Manger of Operations Josh VanSwol. “We’re the first team in the Chicago marketplace to not only have no online ticket fees, but also free parking and no ticket surcharge for fans who purchase tickets on game days.”
Single game tickets, which will go on sale April 1, 2014 for the team’s third season in the Midwest Collegiate League, will be available to purchase online with not a single service fee. Most teams will usually charge a per ticket fee and an order fee (the DuPage County Hounds will have neither one) which sometimes could end up costing up to 50% of the original ticket price.
Fans who purchase a single game ticket online, will pay just $8 per ticket and not a penny more. That same fan who wanted to purchase tickets the day of the game at the box office will also pay $8 per ticket.
The DuPage County Hounds are coming off their second season in the Midwest Collegiate League where the team on the field set a league record in the regular season with a .706 winning percentage, clinched their first pennant, and made the playoffs the second season in a row. Off the field, the team has drawn 25,395 fans over two-seasons, led the Midwest Collegiate League in attendance for the 2013 season, as well as hired two new full-time employees bringing their full-time staff to four individuals.
