Losers of three of their last four, the DuPage County Hounds erupted early and often at Wayne King Field, smashing the Joliet Admirals 14-6 on a Saturday afternoon.

Catcher Brian Lees led the charge, going 4-6 with two doubles, two runs, and three RBIs. His first double came in the midst of a three-run DuPage 1^st inning, and his second double drove in both runs of the 2^nd.

The Hounds also scored one in the 3^rd, three in the 4^th, one in the 5^th, and four in the 8^th.

Other key contributors for the Hounds at the plate included:

• Connor Kopach (2-5, R, SB, 3 RBI)
• Drew LaComb (2-5, 2B, 3 R, 2 RBI)
• Frankie Perrone (1-4, 2 R, 4 SB, RBI)

Every starting Hound got on base at least once, and the team stole nine bases as a team to increase their league-best total.

The two touchdowns on the board meant good news for DuPage starter Pat Cashman, who picked up his second win of the season after five innings of five-run, six-hit pitching. The Admirals got back within four runs by scoring four in the 4^th to make it 9-5.

Nick Martin rebounded from a tough Friday night in Southland with a scoreless 6^th inning. Adam Dressler also added two scoreless frames, sitting the Admirals down 1-2-3 in the 7^th and striking out two. Drew Lacomb then came in from center field to close out the 9^th.

The Hounds improved to 9-3 on the season and will come back to Joliet tomorrow afternoon for a rematch with the Admirals, who look to rest up after playing a full game with the Southland Vikings earlier today (a 6-5 loss). Game time is 1:00 and can be heard on dupagehounds.com.
