Hounds Send Nine to 2015 Midwest Collegiate League All-Star Game

The Hounds will be sending four pitchers and five position players to this year’s 2015 Midwest Collegiate League All-Star game that will take place on Tuesday, July 7 at 7:10 p.m. at Oil City Stadium and will benefit the American Cancer Society. Southland’s Tony Sanchez will manage the South for the first time, while the North squad will be guided by DuPage County’s own, Sean Osborne for the fourth consecutive year.

2015 DUPAGE COUNTY HOUNDS ALL-STARS:

Pitchers

Tom Conklin (Washington and Lee University): 1.19 ERA, 1-0, 4 G, 4 GS, 4 BB, 17 SO

Nick Alfini (St. Ambrose University): 15.2 IP, 1.72 ERA, 4 BB, 8 SO, 2-0 

Nick Costantino (Drury University): 21.1 IP, 1.69 ERA, 4 BB, 10 SO, 2-1  

Noah Masa (Illinois-Chicago): 22 IP, 3.68 ERA, 14 BB, 19 SO, 2-1

Outfielders

Zac Taylor (University of Houston): .359 AVG, 5 RBIs, 2 BB, 4 SO, 5 RBIs, .390 OBP

Trent Carrier, also 1B (Holy Names University): .426 AVG, .483 OBP, 1 HR, 10 RBIs

Shane Carrier (Fullerton Junior College): .360 AVG, .418 OBP, 7 RBIs

Infielders

Matt Wollnik (Webster University): .341 AVG, 8 RBIs, .413 OBP

Catchers 

Billy Hayes (Lake County): .300 AVG, .333 OBP, 4 RBI

This year, the South is comprised of members of Southland Vikings, Michigan City Lakers and Northwest Indiana Oilmen. The North squad is made up of the DuPage County Hounds, Joliet Admirals and Lexington Snipes.
