Hounds Beat Liners With Early RunsBy: On a perfect summer night Daniel Will flew through the middle innings to earn a win against the DeKalb County Liners Tuesday night. Will went 7 2/3 strong innings only giving up 3 hits and 6 walks. Two runs came off a bloop single by the Liners Tyler Hamby but Will was able to work around it and go into the late innings. Tony Forcelledo came in to finish off the game and earned and 1 1/3 inning save. Forcelledo only allowed 1 hit in his time and earned his first save as a Hound in the Win. Jason Euler had the big hit with a two RBI single in the first that helped the Hounds get off to a fast start. But the Liners pitcher Drew Province (0-3) settled down and at one time retired 12 Hounds in a row. Those early runs proved to be all the Hounds would need as the pitching shut down the liners for the rest of the game. |
